As this mod has been completed this is just going to be a picture show of the images and I won’t bother commenting on them. If you do have questions comment with them and I will get around to replying to you.
Forgive the bad pics, but I only have a point and shoot and just don’t have the budget to get a real camera.
So this is a case mod based on a CoolerMaster CM690 II, it has 8200quad, 4GB Ram, 640Gb Caviar Black, Ati HD4890, Asus Xonar Dx2, and some random video capture card.
Its water cooled with 2 loops, and 2 240 Black ice rads, I had to use XSPC res pump combos as space was such an issue in the build, especially as i needed to make the loops long enough that nothing needed to be disconnected in order to empty the reservoirs. Bitspower fittings are great once they are on but boy was it a pain to get some of those to tighten.
My advice to anyone who wants to watercool in a CM690 II, use one 240 rad and one 120, anything more and you will have to do some serious chop chop. Cable routing is great but not perfect, even using modular PSU, again I ran out of space.
It’s to be used to analogue to digital video conversions. Yes I could have put in more RAM more power etc.... but for the end user those were not so important, compared to what they would be using right now, this is a whole new world.
The money shots:
There are many things that I would change if I had had the time and funding for it but all in all I am quite happy with it.
Here’s the some of the other shots:
Thanks for looking
